Song Entry Deadline is Sunday Night‏

If you are thinking of entering songs in this year’s UK Songwriting Contest before the deadline you will be pleased to know that, after receiving many emails from people worried about rushing to get entries in on a Friday night, we have decided to extend the deadline by just two days until Sunday night so that entrants will have a last relaxed weekend to submit their songs. So if you haven’t entered yet, or you have submitted and you are thinking of entering more songs, don’t forget that there will not be any further extensions and all songs must be submitted by midnight on Sunday Oct 2nd.

UKSC winner, Neil Fitzpatrick, will appear on a new Sky TV show, Tin Pan Alley, hosted by DJ Mike Read on Sky’s Showbiz TV Channel on Sunday at 6.30pm. The UKSC is a popular place for TV and radio producers looking for songwriters and ideas for shows and many UKSC semi-finalists, finalists and winners have appeared on prime time major network TV and radio shows in the UK, USA, Australia and Europe as a result. Neil has also just has just signed a major international publishing deal with the world’s biggest independent music publisher for his UKSC winning song.

Here is a short video message for everyone submitting songs from UKSC judge Stuart Epps. It’s on YouTube at // – and there are more messages from other judges on our Facebook pages and at YouTube.

If you have already entered the contest this year we hope you are enjoying being part of the 2016 event and we welcome you to contact us at any time by email, or follow us on Twitter and Facebook and post on our Facebook Community Group with any questions or suggestions. You can enter more songs until midnight Sunday at the official contest website at

With very best wishes,
From the UKSC Team.
