Prepare to step out for Foodbank Ball

AFTER the success of their first event last year, the Wadebridge Foodbank and StoreHouse Spring Charity Ball is back, with an even better line-up of entertainment. This year’s ball will be held on Saturday, March 9 at The Esplanade Hotel, Newquay and will include live entertainment from the Cornish King of Swing, Neil Crook, as well as a guest appearance from Josh Curnow, pictured.

Jacqui White, manager of the Foodbank and StoreHouse said: “As well as hoping to raise vital funds for Foodbank, we also wanted to host something that would be fun and would get local people together. We are especially pleased to have Josh performing a guest set, it’s a great opportunity to check him out before he heads off on his first UK tour later this year.

Tickets are still available from the Foodbank shop at Brigend, Wadebridge, or contact Jacqui on 07813 606291 or e-mail jacqui@wadebridgefoodbank.org. Tickets cost £30 and include a drink on arrival, three-course meal and coffee, as well as live entertainment and a DJ.

The night will also include a charity raffle and auction with some fantastic donations and prizes. If you or your place of work would like to donate a raffle or auction prize, please contact Jacqui on the above telephone number.

The Foodbank and StoreHouse provides help in times of crisis to local people in Wadebridge, Bodmin, Camelford, Padstow and all the surrounding rural areas.

It is a vital local service that has now fed over 2,000 people in North Cornwall over the past couple of years. A registered charity, it relies on fundraising to continue.
