Rock bands do battle again at the local

WADEBRIDGE will see stiff musical competition for the second Battle of the Bands 2011[break]

The event is again being hosted by the Bridge On Wool on The Platt, in conjunction with Alive Music Studio. Starting on Wednesday, January 19, there will be eight heats over four months to try and find the best local band.[break]

In total 24 groups will battle for the top prize of £300 and a weeks worth of rehearsing plus recording and production of an album.[break]

Last year the competition was won by St Austell band Dedhed.[break]

Bridge On Wool landlady Sarah Hargreaves said: “There are still a few places available and the competition is open to all, soloists, duos, bands, originals or not, any age. Don’t be shy if you can play a 20 minute set then get in touch.”[break]
