Nicki Minaj travels to Trinidad to get wild for her “Pound the Alarm” video.

Listen up, Barbies! The winning streak for Nicki Minaj doesn’t seem like it’s going to end anytime soon. Not only was she nominated for three 2012 MTV VMAs (vote away, Barbs!!), but she also just dropped her latest video for club banger, “Pound The Alarm.” Filmed in Nicki’s birthplace of Trinidad, we see her celebrate her home turf with a Carnivale-style party with lots of confetti and little clothing (not to mention some serious wobble). We really oughta book a flight down there.

Earlier this month, Nicki released a teaser and discussed the importance of filming the video in Trinidad. “I never thought in a million years I would ever do this,” Nicki said. “The last time I came to Trinidad, this was the exact room that I stayed in. This is where we shot ‘My Time Now’ for MTV. My whole family came in.” And it looks like nearly the whole country showed up for this video shoot. The scenes are filled with flooded streets of people covered in feathers and costumes, dancing until dawn with Nicki. Seriously, we may have just bought a ticket to fly down to Trinidad. Spontaneous vacay!
